Bubblegum XL from Seed Bank’s Royal Queen Seeds is a fine example of Amsterodam new-school genetics. While not as strong as some other Amsterodam varieties, such as Amnesia Haze. Its genetics are more sativa dominant, its effect is nonetheless a nicely balanced blend of stoned and high. Overall, Bubblegum XL makes a great smoke and is also an excellent plant for all types of growers.
When grown indoors, it can easily achieve a yield of 500 grams per square metre, which, although not one of the highest, is well balanced by the quality. Outdoors, the yield depends on the climate; dense strains of hybrid cannabis such as this can be grown in most states in the right season. In wetter climates, however, more care must be taken to avoid problems with mould and rot. It doesn’t grow too tall, and doesn’t even reach the height of some other Dutchman’s breeches – it remains smaller and is therefore more manageable when grown.
Bubble Gum XL tends to have a sweeter aroma than many other Amsterdam strains and a sweet, earthy flavor. The flowering period lasts about 8 to 9 weeks and at the end of the flowering period the grower gets thick buds, richly covered with resin.
