FAQ

Sativa strains consist of varieties that are taller with slender leaves, and the buds grow in a spiral around the branches. Sativa plants take longer to grow, resulting in a later harvest. They are characterized by a higher THC content.

Indica strains consist of varieties that are shorter and bushier. Indica plants mature faster than Sativas, and therefore are known for high and quick yields. They are characterized by a higher CBD content.

A huge advantage of buying seeds from a grow shop is the certainty that you’ll get the correct cannabis seed and strain. With second-hand seeds, you can’t be guaranteed that. There’s a risk that the seeds will be of poor quality, and you might end up with a male plant or a hermaphrodite. In the worst case, you could receive completely different seeds than you wanted.

In recent years, many quality seed banks have emerged, some stand out, while others blend in. It’s hard to say whether to choose from older seed banks or new ones. Check out our website, and we believe you’ll choose well, no matter which seed bank it is.

Mixing should be avoided, we all know that. People who drink alcohol and consume cannabis usually become more tired and go to sleep early. There are no other significant effects of cannabis and alcohol together on a person.

First and foremost, stay calm. Possessing a small amount of cannabis is not a criminal offense, but an administrative violation. This means that the officers will take you to the station where a report will be written, and then a fine of up to 15,000 CZK will be issued. Note: the police cannot ask you about the origin of your cannabis.

The difference between male and female plants can only be identified during the flowering stage. Female plants produce buds, while male plants produce pollen sacs.

Each strain has a different life cycle. With autoflowering seeds, there is no need to change the light cycle for flowering to begin. Flowering starts automatically about 3 to 4 weeks after germination. Photoperiod strains, on the other hand, have a growth phase until the light cycle changes to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. Only at this stage do the plants begin to flower (the flowering period lasts approximately 8 to 10 weeks).

Cannabis seeds with altered genetic structure. 99% probability of female plants (marijuana). Advantages: guarantee of a female plant. Disadvantages: not suitable for making your own seeds and breeding.

Autoflowering or also known as autoflowering seeds. They contain the genetics of wild cannabis, cannabis ruderalis. Unlike other types of cannabis, they automatically transition to flowering regardless of the season. They do not require a decrease in light hours to 12 hours for flowering (marijuana production). They begin to flower automatically about 21 days after sowing. This allows them to flower at any time of the year, without waiting for the typical season, which is September – October.

Advantages: quick transition to flowering, independence from the season.

Disadvantages: rapid growth = higher nutrient consumption, smaller height, about 75 cm.

Regular or also standardized seeds are unmodified, but selectively bred cannabis seeds. The probability of a female plant (marijuana) is about 50%. Regular strains mean that the seeds produce both female and male plants. This is ideal for experienced growers who want to produce their own high-quality seeds or plan to create their own genetics.

Advantages: best genetics, larger yields, the possibility of breeding and creating new seeds.

Disadvantages: the probability of female to male is about 50/50.

Indoor cultivation of plants is very popular among growers around the world. Growing indoors offers many advantages. The result of indoor cultivation does not depend solely on nature. Through your own efforts, you can ensure that all your plant requirements are met. There is a wide range of plants designed for indoor cultivation. Choosing the right strain becomes a very important step that directly affects the plant’s characteristics.

Outdoor cultivation. Cannabis strains suitable for our climatic conditions outdoors.

Growing outdoors is the most gentle for the plant because outdoor conditions are the most natural for plants, especially in terms of providing a greater amount of light. There is no need to worry about light leaks, electricity bills, or alternating light and darkness… Sunlight provides many other advantages. Unlike indoor cultivation, the bottom part of the plant is almost as fully developed as the upper part. However, outdoor conditions pose significant risks to plants, such as rodents, wildlife, and weather conditions (storms, wind, hail, etc.). For this reason, it is preferable to grow plants in portable containers or in a greenhouse. It is important to build a sufficiently high fence and visit the area at least once every two weeks, and ideally more often, as plants also need regular watering. If you don’t have a greenhouse, it is better not to grow plants hydroponically due to the risk of evaporation. When looking for a suitable location for a greenhouse, it is important to observe where the sun shines the longest and most.

Ideal locations are those where the sun shines in the morning between 4 and 10 hours, with 5-8 hours being optimal. Estimating this is very difficult if you live north of 30° latitude towards the south, because the days are extremely short here.

Surprisingly, you won’t get the most light on the southern and southwestern side of a slope. Open areas on the northern side of the slope with good southern exposure are advantageous. Some books suggest that plants respond better to morning sun than afternoon sun, so if you have the option to choose between the two, morning sun will definitely be better. If you decide to build a shelter for the plants, focus on greenhouses, sheds, or structures of similar kind. Inside, the walls should be painted white or silver to reflect light.

A model, or ‘strain’ in English, refers to a cultivated cannabis variety with the same genetics. Each model has its own characteristic traits such as height, bushiness, cannabinoid content, leaf size, color, flowering time, and growth duration. However, even models with the same name can vary between different producers, especially in THC content and seed viability.

For example: White Widow – known for its white appearance (THC content); Purple – purple coloration of the leaves, etc.

A cannabinoid is a term referring to all the chemical compounds in cannabis plants that affect the endocannabinoid system in the brain in a certain way.

THC is a substance found in many cannabis strains. THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol. THC is one of the many cannabinoids found primarily in the flowers of the cannabis plant. It is the main psychoactive compound.

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. For a long time, it wasn’t well known because it was overshadowed by THC. In recent decades, CBD has been studied, and research shows that it has significant therapeutic effects for many health issues.

Standardized procedure for seed germination

  • Use growing rooms with a stable temperature of 20°C.

  • Use soil with a pH value of ± 7.0. The soil should not be too dry or too wet.

  • In the nutrient soil, plant the seed about 5 mm deep. After sowing, gently press the soil, as this supports sprouting.

  • Lightly spray the soil with water. Cover the container with transparent plastic film or use a plastic greenhouse designed for this purpose, to achieve an optimal greenhouse effect.

  • After 1 to 10 days, the seeds will sprout to the surface. Now, remove the plastic film or plastic cover.

  • Regularly mist the soil with water, and wait until the top layer dries before spraying again.

  • After 1 to 2 weeks, the seedlings will be strong enough, and then you can transplant them into a larger pot.
