The original A5 Haze belongs to the family of elite Haze hybrid clones from the Netherlands, developed by Nevil Schoenmakers in the late 1980s. The Killer A5 Haze variety has a total of 4 phenotypes:

• Haze dominant phenotype: This phenotype shows the greatest influence of Columbian Sativa and produces huge colas with an excellent flower to leaf ratio. It has an exciting scent of pure Haze and lots of resin, although not as much as the next 3 phenotypes. Flowering time: 75 to 90 days.
• Northern Light Haze phenotype: this phenotype is smaller in size, faster flowering, and most similar to the original A5 Haze mother. It produces very resinous buds with a strong Haze aroma. Flowering time: 66 to 80 days.
• Haze/Malawi phenotype: A well-balanced phenotype that produces huge, very dense stakes with an excellent flower-to-leaf ratio and a thick layer of resin. It smells of incense and woody haze like Malawi and blooms for 75 to 85 days.
• Silverish Malawi phenotype: a monstrous sativa phenotype with the greatest Malawi influence. It has an incredibly high flower to leaf ratio, extremely high productivity and amazing resin production, which gives this model a beautiful silver appearance. Flowering time: 75 to 85 days.
