From the ground: A healthy approach to eczema care
Atopic dermatitis is most common in children, although it also occurs in adults. This disease is characterized by the appearance of incredibly itchy areas of skin that manifest as red and inflamed rashes, scaly patches and other physical blemishes. The uncomfortable eczema can be very painful as the itching persists – constant scratching can result in skin breakdown, bleeding and possible scarring. Eczema most commonly appears on the knees and elbows.
Eczema differs from psoriasis in that it is caused by skin irritants such as detergents, as well as allergic reactions to dust, food and other allergens. This larger inflammatory picture shows that eczema (also referred to as AD) maintains similarities to asthma as both an inflammatory and autoimmune disease.
Key Ingredients
The active ingredient is colloidal oatmeal, which supports the skin with a covering layer of polysaccharides that soothes and calms irritated skin. This is supported by extracts from the Cannabis sativa plant with a high content of CBD. Its carefully designed formula protects affected skin areas from the many triggers that exacerbate AD symptoms.
Liposomal potency
Liposomes are used in modern medicine, but they are also important for skin care. Because there are many layers of human skin, liposomes allow for greater coverage of affected areas at both the superficial and deep levels.
Safety and Precautions
Do not use Zemadol if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in the product (see details). In particular, people allergic to grasses (Poaceae) should avoid taking Zemadol. Persons with gluten and/or soy intolerance should consult their personal healthcare provider before use. Oatmeal contains gluten and lecithin is made from soy.
